Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of 18 Dental in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.

18 Dental is a predominantly private dental practice with four surgeries and an outstanding reputation for patient care. It is located on Lodge Road in Coleraine, 55 miles north-west of Belfast.

The practice has been owned by Dr Ursula Mulholland and Dr Ben Goode since August 2004. In 2009 they branded and expanded the practice. The pair decided to sell as they felt the time was right to move away from practice ownership and focus more on the clinical side of dentistry.

Following a confidential sales process, it has been purchased by DeNovo Dental Partners, which owns 13 practices, with another three due to complete imminently.

Dr Ursula Mulholland and Dr Ben Goode, former owners of 18 Dental, said: “We decided that the time was right to sell, not because we were ready to retire, but because we felt that some of the responsibilities of practice ownership were taking more of our time. Selling allowed us to release equity in our business and focus on clinical dentistry. Our hopes for the practice are that it will continue to grow and care for our patients for many more years.

“Since we sold the practice and went into partnership with DeNovo, there has been a significant positive impact on the practice. DeNovo has been supporting us in marketing and investment in the practice. Patient numbers have grown, and the team has expanded. We feel we now have a partner supporting the business, allowing us to focus on clinical dentistry and furthering our professional development.”
